First female winner medal for the areas of mathematics

Iranian mathematician, the first female winner of the Fields Medal which was held in the United States.
Hailed as "a long time", Prof Maryam Mirzakhani brand has been recognized for his work on complex geometry.
Addressing Geeta Guru-Murphy BBC, Sarah Hart, Professor of Mathematics at Birkbeck College, London, said it was time that a woman has been recognized at this level in the field.
