Why the moon is shaped like a lemon

Scientists have been working on the reasons for the deformed shape of our Moon.

A U.S. team has calculated the effect on the shape of the new moon of the tidal forces and rotation.

They say their own spin and throw Tide earth satellites created a "lemon-shaped".

In this case, the principal investigator, Ian Garrick-Bethell, University of California at Santa Cruz, who found the shape change place when the moon is in a thin crust of rock more liquid.
