100 years Galapagos turtle gets new home in Ohio
August 29, 2014 at 06:06 clock Updated BST
Adopted an extremely rare Galapagos tortoise that 100 years old has been given a new home in a zoo in Ohio.
Emerson was a resident at the zoo in San Diego since 1980, but was passed earlier this week. Although he lived through two world wars and said goodbye to 16 American presidents - he could still live another 50 years.
Galapagos turtles are listed as vulnerable by the International Union for the Conservation of Nature due to competition for resources in their home.
