Scientists hail discovery of dinosaurs

Scientists at the University of Zurich and the Museum of Natural History have discovered a previously unknown species of dinosaur.

Laquintasaura venezuelae, is based on the country in which it was found, named, lived there for over 200 million years.

Dr. Paul Barrett, author and paleontologist at the Natural History Museum, the BBC Radio 4 Today it is said, "the first new dinosaur species found in northern South America."

He added that Laquintasaura lived shortly after the mass extinction at the end of the Triassic, which shows that dinosaurs recovered quickly after the event.
