St Albans sinkhole: studied link Brickyard

The British Geological Survey said a large sinkhole that opened in St. Albans, Herts, Thursday may be to an old brick factory that will be used on the site correlated.
Helen Reeves explained that this meant that there was a soft clay layer, which was extracted in the production of bricks.
This tone, and a layer of gypsum dissolves in water, they have contributed to the opening of the hole.
