An experiment at the University of Manchester - the performance of the diesel engine in a laboratory - shows how far among the manufacturers of emission testing.

By channeling engine emissions in an atmosphere chamber, can re-create the computer, what happens when pollutants in our environment clean engines.

Dr. Rami Alfarra, University of Manchester, explains how his research team demonstrated that the engines are much cleaner when really driving that car manufacturers disclose standard tests.

The research is a collaboration with researchers of atmospheric chemistry at the University of York.
