Thousands of emperor penguin chicks drowned

After the extreme weather conditions in 2016, a large penguin colony never recovered on the Brunt Antarctic ice floe.

The emperor penguins in the Halley Bay colony moved or stopped after the deaths of thousands of chickens when the ice collapsed three years ago in bad weather.
