The actress Dame Emma Thompson defended her decision to leave the United States to participate in a protest against climate change in central London.

In a conversation with journalists in the pink boot of the campaign group eradicating the insurgency, she explained that she had not flown as often as before and had planted many trees.

Ms. Thompson also compared the event to the Suffering Campaign.
