Lack of rewards offered, "rara avis"

A search is underway for two young birds that disappeared, whereupon the RSPB offer a reward of 1,000 pounds aid in their recovery.

Explained Speaking on the Today program, chief research officer at RSPB Bob Elliott, that the birds had disappeared in "suspicious" circumstances:

"A week ago, we have followed their satellite tracking systems and two birds suddenly from the radar."

"The vultures are very rare birds in the UK," he added.
