Longitude Prize launched with £ 10 million awaiting the winner

A price of 10 million euro started to solve one of the greatest scientific challenges of today's world.

The idea of the competition is on price level in 1714, which was based won by John Harrison. Their watches allow sailors to identify their position at sea for the first time.

In the updated version, the public is invited to choose a new challenge.
