Hatched Crane Chick by special breeding program

Four hundred years after they were exterminated in the UK, a special breeding program has just seen his first two crane chicks have hatched.
Staff at Slimbridge Wildfowl and Wetlands Centre in Gloucestershire, hand reared birds after 76 eggs were brought from Germany.
Chicks are expected to result in a return of the birds in large quantities, as reported by John Maguire.
