The British scientist Colin Pillinger global, which is for his 2003 attempt to land a spacecraft on Mars, known, has died at the age of 70, his family said.
Professor Pillinger was at his home in Cambridge, where he suffered a cerebral hemorrhage and fell into a deep coma.
According to his family later died at Addenbrookes hospital, without regaining consciousness.
His death was "devastating and unbelievable," said in a statement.
