Blakeney Norfolk seal colony records book record numbers of puppies

A record number of seal pups have been recorded in the reserve Blakeney Point, North Norfolk, with more than 1,756 new arrivals - the sum of the figures for the 2013-14 breeding about 200th
Seals booking Pupping National Trust for over a decade.
Ajay Tegala, one of the Coast Guard for counting seals, said: "Bulls develop a harem of up to six cows, depending on the age capacity, power and fight ... and seals mate again shortly after birth."
The colony was filmed by the BBC winter conditions this weekend for the new series in January.
