Chimp culture caught on camera

The researchers detected the spread of a new type of tool use in a wild population of chimpanzees.
They say this is the first clear evidence of wild chimpanzees in the development of a new culture.
As the crew filmed at a field station in Uganda, the animals realized that some of them have started a new type of sponge sheet making - something to use the animals to drink.
This new behavior spread quickly throughout the group.
In this clip, the lead researcher Dr. Catherine Hobaiter University of St Andrews, share some of the images he shot and explains what he saw.
