With robots as potentially massive new industry minister scientists and companies want to work more closely together.

The robots are usually used in factories, but the latest creations are considering working in nuclear power plants, drive our cars and help in nursing homes.

Had the science editor of the BBC, David Shukman a look at some of the work at the Edinburgh Centre in Robotics.
