How to choose a Nobel Prize?

The winners of the Nobel Prize 2019 will be announced from 7 to 14 October.

The previous winners are Barack Obama, Toni Morrison, Bob Dylan, Marie Curie and Albert Einstein.

Greta Thunberg, climate activist and broadcaster Sir David Attenborough, is one of the 300 nominees for the Nobel Peace Prize. It also awards prizes for physics, chemistry, literature and medicine / physiology.

But who was Alfred Nobel? And how do you decide who will win a prize?
