Are electric cars as "green" as you think?

By 2030, more than 125 million electric vehicles will be owned by people worldwide. But where does the lithium that drives the batteries come from?

Most stocks of this lighter metal are in brine at the bottom of the swamps in the highlands.

In Argentina, in Jujuy, the province where the Aboriginal population is the highest, major projects are being carried out.

But in an extremely arid region, where water is the most valuable resource and where lithium production requires large amounts, there is fear and absolute resistance.

The families in Sheffield took part in a test to see who has inhaled more pollution on the school street: children on foot, by bike or by car.

The experiment allowed three families to bring air quality monitors to school to measure PM2.5 levels. These are small air pollutants that are about 30 times thinner than human hair.

It was found that every means of transport exceeded the safety limit recommended by the World Health Organization, but which was the worst?

Farmers in Hampshire are participating in the rally against the climate of extinction of the rebellion

Farmers join the protest group against the extinction of the rebellion against climate change.

They say that agriculture has been wrongly criticized and that it wants to highlight the work done and the fact that they are one of the industries most affected by climate change.

Dagan James, a buffalo farmer from Broughton, Hampshire, participated in the April manifestations of the extinction of the rebellion. He and other farmers were convinced that there was not enough money to make a difference.

Agriculture accounts for around 10% of greenhouse gas emissions in the UK, but the National Farmers Union has set a net emissions target for 2040.

The demonstrators say, "they highlight the inconsistency between the British government, which insists that Britain is the world leader in the fight against climate change, and the enormous sums it invests in fossil fuel exploration."

The police said five men and three women were arrested for criminal damage.

David Attenborough: Save Sussex's magical algae forests

Sir David Attenborough supports a campaign to save an important marine habitat.

Algae forests off the coast of West Sussex are among the most biodiverse areas in the world, but have been damaged by altered fishing habits and deposits on the seabed. sailor

Sea kelp also plays an important role in reducing the impact of climate change. It is estimated that it can absorb around 600 million tonnes of carbon annually, twice as much as the United Kingdom.

Sir David supported an initiative by the Sussex Wildlife Trust and the Department for Fisheries Conservation and Conservation of Inland Fisheries to set up an exclusion zone for coastal trawlers to aid in the regeneration of seaweed.
