Rhino Launch: An epic journey to freedom in Rwanda

Five eastern black rhino born in a zoo was transported from Europe to Africa.

The three female and two male rhinos from two to nine years old came from Flamingo Land in Yorkshire, Safaripark Dvur Kralove in the Czech Republic and Safari Ree Park in Denmark.

The journey of 6,000 km began in Dvur Kralove, where the animals collected from the end of 2018 and prepared for the journey.

Animals born in a zoo 18 other eastern rhinos Akagera National Park, Rwanda, come after weaning.
