A special vault was built in the Arctic to save thousands of seeds, as scientists fear, the effects of climate change and the long-term conflict could be devastating for food crops worldwide.
The Global Seed Vault was built in a mountain near the town of Longyearbyen Svalbard in remote islands.
Save thousands of seed samples from ten different countries.
David Shukman BBC had privileged access to the vault.
