A fundraiser has been launched to the space suit that Neil Armstrong wore when he became the first man to preserve the moon.

The National Museum of Air and Space in Washington US wants to raise $ 500,000 in order to protect the spacesuit and build a glass box with a controlled temperature.

Cathy Lewis, spacesuit curator at the Museum of Air and Space in Washington, said the study was "a very complex machine" that needs careful handling.
