Nasa launches carbon dioxide observer

NASA launched a mission to measure carbon dioxide (CO2) dedicated space.
Orbiting Carbon Observatory-2 (OCO-2) will contribute to key points on the surface of the earth, where the gas is emitted and absorbed.
A Delta rocket carrying the satellite lifted free from Vandenberg Air Force Base in California at 2:56 local time (09:56 GMT, 10:56 BST).
The trip is a little less than an hour into orbit.
