Researchers from the British Antarctic Survey say that environmental change has an impact on the survival of seals.

The researchers found that seals in South Georgia - north of the Antarctic Peninsula - seem to reduce their food source suffer - small crustaceans called krill. What causes puppies to be born smaller and small, in order to survive to the age of reproduction.

The results are published in the journal Nature.

Here, Dr Iain Staniland the British Antarctic Survey, explains how the 30-year study of the seals showed the challenges they face.
