A new type of solar cells could reduce the cost of the production of energy from the sun significantly.

A team from the University of Liverpool has found a way found to replace the toxic element found in the process of a material in bath salts and tofu.

The study was published in the journal Nature and presented at the ESOF conference in Copenhagen.

Lead researcher Dr. Jon Major explains how the new technology could significantly reduce the cost of solar energy.
