Battle to save the oldest national park in Africa, says in the film

Last week, Emmanuel de Merode was raided and the Democratic Republic of Congo, where he shot served as Chief Warden of Virunga National Park.

He was seriously injured but recovered.

The incident highlights the dangers usually in the park where efforts should be made to keep poachers and rebels at bay.

Capital realities of life in the Virunga National Park are the subject of a British documentary which just had its world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York.
