Britain's first cloned dog was born after his owner won a contest with the registration process.

The South Korean company, which usually requires £ 60,000 to clone animals, played 12 years daschund Winnie the help of his skin tissue.

His clone, called "Mini Winnie" was delivered by caesarean section at 30 Born March and is treated in South Korea.

Owner Rebecca Smith, 29, told BBC Radio 5 Live Victoria Derbyshire : "It was really incredible to see the small mini Winnie was born ... a very special moment."
