Boris Johnson said a box of cereal shaking, making it easier for "some cornflakes in order to reach the top" when he spoke of CI schools and grammar.
But on a personal film for the everyday politics, Professor Steve Jones, the Mayor of London said it had a "profound misunderstanding of genetics", and spoke of the interaction between nature and culture.
Professor Jones discuss his film with members Soubry Anna and Emma Reynolds on Daily Politics Wednesday at 00.40 clock GMT on BBC Two, which will be for seven days on iPlayer.
