Fracking provides sources of oil and gas in ignition warning

Britain needs of the existing ground oil and gas before the expansion of shale gas "fracking" to learn of leaks and poor monitoring sites, scientists have warned.

A review of 2,152 wells up to 100 wells drilled from 1902 to 2013 found "orphan" for which no company is responsible.

The long-term stability of the wells and contamination risks are key factors if the coalition continues with the expansion plans of the shale gas industry.
