An international team of archaeologists has discovered buried at Stonehenge a range of at least 100 menhirs on a site just a few kilometers.
The discovery is the height of a five-year project of the Stonehenge Hidden Landscape equipment that uses the latest technology to create maps of the metro area around the Neolithic site icon.
The team presented its findings in the Science Festival in Bradford British Association on Monday, and the principal investigator, said Professor Vincent Gaffney results on the website of the BBC.
The Stonehenge Hidden Landscapes Project is an international collaboration between the University of Birmingham and the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute for Archaeological Prospection and Virtual Archaeology (LBI ArchPro).
