Time-lapse images from NASA show the sun in five years

By capturing an image every eight hours - space agency NASA has a time-lapse video showing the Sun, published over a period of almost five years.

The period begins in June 2010 and will run will run until February 5, 2015.

The film was released to commemorate the fifth anniversary of NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory.
