Cop21: Rhonegletscher film shows drone ice retreat

Diplomats and climate experts will meet in Paris for the United Nations Conference on Climate Change, the order seeking a new global agreement to limit emissions of carbon dioxide.

For many of us the effects of climate change can often seem distant and difficult to visualize - but that is far from the case in Switzerland.

It was performed in temperature over the past 150 years to a rapid acceleration of melting glaciers in the country, an increase 2C.

If greenhouse gas emissions continue to rise according to current trends, all large masses of ice in the Swiss Alps to disappear almost until the end of the century, scientists warn.

BBC reporter Howard Johnson video was the Rhone glacier, which fell from 30 m last year.

He met with Dr. David Volken glaciologist who highlighted the retreat of the ice - and why would sit and watch the world.
