How beaver can change our rivers

Beavers live in river otters in Devon continue living in nature, it is free of the disease.

Government agency Natural England has to grant a license for five years decided the Devon Wildlife Trust to manage the animals on the base.

Animals must first be caught and tested to ensure that they are free from European and tapeworm species.

This is the first time that such approval was given to introduce a previously extinct mammal in England.

Claire Marshall spoke with Derek Gow, who has a beaver conservation area, the impact of the animals.
