Elon Musk's SpaceX company has conducted a key test of its massive new Starship rocket system.
Engineers performed what they called "static fire," simultaneously igniting 31 of 33 engines in the base of the vehicle's lower segment.
The shot lasted only a few seconds, everything held steady to prevent any movement.
On its maiden flight, the spacecraft becomes the most powerful operational rocket system in history.
