Human disturbance are the most combustible Amazon rainforest, according to researchers.
This is one of the conclusions of a study of two years in the Brazilian Amazon , the human activities protected forest areas shows that even degraded, including logging and fragmentation - which increases the likelihood of forest fires.
While the Brazilian Amazon is protected by large-scale deforestation, this new study - published in the journal Nature published - suggests that more effort is needed to "hyper diverse preserve the ecosystems of tropical forests."
