The race to save coral from warm Florida sea temperatures

Historically high sea temperatures threaten colossal coral die-offs in the Florida Keys. But scientists are struggling to stop it.

Oceanographers predict the record-warm water will last through September. To protect healthy corals, they move them to deeper water. Coral Restoration Pioneer Ken Nedimyer and Research and Monitoring Coordinator Katey Lesneski discussed how corals might survive in the future.
