A team of British scientists have made a breakthrough in the treatment and diagnosis of tuberculosis.
Researchers at Birmingham and Oxford could use genome sequencing to isolate different strains of the disease, which means that the patient had been waiting months to get the right medication now be diagnosed in just over a week.
Public Health England said that it is the first time the technique has been used on this scale anywhere in the world.
