Corpse Flower: smelliest plant flowers in the world to Edinburgh

June 28, 2015 Last updated at 10:41 BST

One of the largest and the world fragrant flowers bloomed for the first time in Scotland.

Visitors queued at the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh (Rbge) where the flower must be open for two or three days.

The giant Amorphophallus titanum has a strong smell of rotting flesh. He produced seven pages in the 12 years he spent in the garden, for the producers are "very happy to finally have a flower."

Authorities said the garden is open until 21:00 clock Sunday, so that more visitors to see the flower.
